ABOUT THE BUSH LAB

THE BUSH LAB is wholly run by me, Bushman and my big fat BushCat in my spare time. I'm a trucker during the day, a hardcore gear tester and hiker by night and during time off. Fueled by caffeine, beer, bacon, 80's heavy metal, 90's industrial/techno music and life itself. I spent a LOT OF TIME driving a 2WD japscrap pickup all over BC's logging roads, testing gear, camping, drinking, smoking fine pipe tobacco and blogging. I am a proud member of the BC WRECKING CREW (more to come soon)

I say it like it is, and thanks to that, I have been fired from lots of jobs for saying it like it is.......but i stand by my principles.......i do not censor or sugarcoat my gear reviews, I do not care if i offend people with my gear reviews.......for the simple reason that there are many people out there who DEPEND on their gear for their survival, be it a dayhiker, SARTECH, off the grid type or a military/LEO person in the field.

100% of the gear I test, I buy with my own money. I do not accept gear from manufactures. Far too often this generosity taints the reviews....aka there can be some bias.......I buy gear, i test it, i review it, i say it like it is. NUFF SAID! if a piece of kit does not meet my standards I give a fail. Even if i pay for it myself.

I would like to give a shout out to all the hardworking POLICE, FIRE, AMBULANCE, MILITARY and all the SARTECHS!....stay safe, and keep up the good work!
